Plasticon Composites supplied a guided stack, which was used for discharging the air with eventually rest amount of sulphur vapours which are coming out of the scrubber.
The process design was done by DSM/DHV and the mechanical design by Plasticon Composites and Dynaflow. The mechanical design was a extreme challenge due to the specific circumstances. The ratio of the diameter and height were excessive and it was only allowed to guide the stack by three steel cables on one point at a height of about 2/3 of the length. This design took almost 80% of the total delivery time.
